Nura’s New Concept of Having Earbuds on a Subscription May Not Be a Great Idea

Nura’s New Concept of Having Earbuds on a Subscription May Not Be a Great Idea

Nura has introduced a subscription model for these earbuds. You can now own earbuds on a monthly basis and this service has been named NuraNow. It guarantees that you will get new pair of this brand’s earbuds after two years. The only drawback is that since it is a subscription model, you will not own the products that are offered by Nura.

Payment Details

There is a $20 fee for setup and the services begin at $5 per month. This will give you access to Nurabuds. However, if you want to use the Nuraphone instead, then you will have to pay $10 per month after you first pay the $50 fee at the start. There is also the Nuraloop which is accessible at $8 per month and a $30 initial fee. In addition, a subscription to NuraNow can get you monthly giveaways and discounts. The early birds signing on for this subscription will get a 3-month membership to Endel. This is an AI-based sound app; it aims to relax you and improve your sense of focus.

Cancellation Policy

NuraNow does not have a contract that will bind you to them but if you want to cancel this subscription, you have to just fill up a form. Once you cancel, the brand will deactivate the device remotely and give you 30 days to return whichever product you may have with you. In case you are not able to return it within the stipulated time, Nura will continue to charge you for it.

To Sign or Not to Sign Up

It may seem quite exciting to get new pairs of earbuds or headphones every couple of years but since this product is something you would be using every day and have your sweat all over it, you might as well own the product. If you think about it, you will end up paying $140 for the NuraNow in two years, which is the cost of Apply AirPods (if they were on sale) or even the Samsung Galaxy Buds.

What do you think about this subscription model? Would you sign up for it?
