“Sunglasses With a Soundtrack” -Bose
Bose Corporation, a company that develops and sells audio products, designed these futuristic smart-frames to play music with a rich and authentic quality. Simply connect your Bose shades to any smart device via Bluetooth, and you’ll have open-ear audio on the go! The speakers and microphones are located on both arms, alongside a small multifunctional button that enables you to change/skip music, answer/make phone calls, and turn the glasses on/off. The frames will also automatically turn off if you turn them over and set them down for a few seconds.

Design
The audio company released two classic styles of the wearables: Rondo (rounded frames) and Alto (squarish frames). The shades are designed with metal hinges and nylon rims. Bose Frames are produced from materials that are just as modern as their concept, so the lenses can’t really be scratched or shattered very easily. According to the company, the sunglasses are “meticulously molded for comfort and built to last.”

Sound Leakage
Just because you don’t have to insert the speakers into your ears as you’d normally do with any other set of headphones, doesn’t mean that people can eavesdrop! The company’s engineers have worked tirelessly to ensure that is little-to-no sound leakage, even if the audio may sound loud to you, so no one can listen to your music or conversations.
The Future of AR
Audio AR features are currently in the works for these futuristic shades. While the frames will not provide visual augmented reality, they will provide audio AR in which the sunglasses will speak and feed you information about things like bars near you, what time restaurants open, landmarks around you, and can even help you learn a foreign language. This is all done through the speakers located on the arms of the sunglasses. The built-in accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS enable the sunglasses to know exactly which way you’re facing. This ultimately allows apps to give you details about the particular thing you’re facing. This can include anything from a museum to a landmark to a restaurant or really anything else around you for that matter.
