But this latest addition is actually designed to get the attention of their younger users, after reports showed that their numbers were staggering.

There's no denying that the appeal of watching one's face morph from a toddler up to an elderly person is universal. After the success of both the aging filter and the baby lens that preceded it, Snapchat essentially decided that the filters are better together. Snapchat seems to be banking on being differentiated from other application filters, such as Instagram's – which focus more on improving appearance than getting creative or humorous with it. Although statistics showed that many users came to the app to save and share their results outside of the app, Snapchat doesn't mind – they just want their technology used and appreciated, and this feature is a testament to that.
