Celebrities Who Look So Much Alike, You Will Do a Double-Take

Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are an incredible case of celebrity lookalikes. Seriously – just look at them! It’s incredible that these two aren’t the same person, or at least long lost cousins.

On the left of this image is Javier Bardem (we think), Spanish actor and star of No Country For Old Men. On the right, is Jeffrey Dean Morgan, American actor and star of Grey’s Anatomy. These two are constantly mistaken for one another, and we can certainly see why.

Next up is a pair of stunning actresses – Australian Margot Robbie, and English Emma Mackey. The instant Emma Mackey appeared on screens, people couldn’t help but point out her incredible resemblance to the I, Tonya star.

When asked about her similarity to the A-list actress, Mackey responded, “I hope that people will see past the physical aspects of my person and focus on my job as opposed to my looks, if that’s okay with you all.” Fair enough!

Here’s another pair of celebrity lookalikes that truly make us shake our head in amazement. How are these two people not related? How are they not a face swap of one another? Here we have The Help star Jessica Chastain, and Jurassic World actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

These two are well aware of their physical similarity and have even looked in the mirror together while working on the same movie to compare their twin-like similarity. Their conclusion? “Okay, we look alike.”

Comedian Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith have raised thousands of dollars for charity because of their physical resemblance. The pair appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon wearing the same outfit, and went on to have a drum-off. Since then, the pair have reprised their act for several benefit shows.

Despite their relationship, Chad Smith still stormed off stage at a concert when a fan yelled “Will Ferrell” at him from the audience.

Here’s another pair of actresses that look strikingly similar. On the left is Alexandria Daddario, known for her roles in Baywatch and We Summon the Darkness. On the right is Tiffani Thiessen, best known for playing Kelly Kapowski in Saved By the Bell.

Much like Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey, these two look like the younger and older versions of each other. With their shiny brunette locks and heart shaped face, there’s no denying that these two women look just like each other.

We had never noticed that actresses Scarlett Johansson and Amber Heard looked so similar, but once you start comparing images, it’s undeniable. Of course, both of the stars have blonde hair and a similar frame, but they also share the same jaw line and bone structure.

In this shot, where both of the A-listers wear red lipstick, Scarlett Johansson and Amber Heard look like they could easily be sisters. Just wondering – could someone write a movie where these two are crime-fighting twins?

Here we go again – two celebrities that look freakishly alike. On the left is Academy Award winning actor Jeff Bridges, known for his roles in True Grit, The Big Lebowski and Iron Man. Bridges comes from a prominent acting family, and is considered one of the best of his generation.

On the right is actor Kurt Russel, known for his roles in Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, and The Fast and the Furious franchise. Both actors have admitted to signing autographs for the other.

Another classic pair of celebrity lookalikes is actress Zooey Deschanel and singer Katy Perry. When the “Roar” singer first appeared on the scene, people couldn’t help but point out her similarity to the New Girl actress.

In a conversation together, Deschanel remembered, “When I met you I was so relieved, because you’re so pretty. You never know when people say you look like somebody, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s gorgeous. Thank you.” The actress later appeared in one of Perry’s videos.

When Melissa Gorga first appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, fans were taken by the swirling family drama going on around her. However, once that settled, we started to notice that the reality star is a dead ringer for Jennifer Lopez.

Indeed, Lopez is Gorga’s style icon, and the two even snapped a picture together at the premiere for J.Lo’s movie Second Act. On another occasion, Melissa and Joe Gorga ate cake with the superstar after her half time show at the Super Bowl.

Amusingly, American actor Logan Marshall-Green does have a twin brother, but it’s not English actor Tom Hardy. These two look incredibly similar, partly because of their facial hair in this image, but also due to their expression and facial features.

On the left is Logan Marshall-Green, known for his roles in 24 and The O.C. On the right is Tom Hardy, known for roles in Black Hawk Down and The Revenant. If we added Marshall-Green’s twin brother, we’d have three Tom Hardys!

Our next set of celebrity lookalikes are English celebs Sienna Miller and Mollie King. These two look very similar, starting with their blonde wavy hair and striking facial features. On the left we have Sienna Miller, an American-English actress known for her roles in Factory Girl and Alfie.

On the right is Mollie King, member of girl group The Saturdays, and former The X Factor contestant. As well as looking physically alike, these two also have similar taste in fashion and beauty.

Actresses Alicia Silverstone and Maggie Lawson look so similar that people watch entire movies featuring one of them while thinking they’re watching the other. Indeed, we can’t look at this image and accept that we aren’t looking at two images of Alicia Silverstone.

Both of these actresses starting working as children, and both are animal rights activists. Of course, Silverstone is most famous for her role as Cher in Clueless, while Lawson is known for her role as Detective Jules O’Hara in Psych.

With this next pair, we’re willing to admit that Josh Holloway and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau look like they’re related, but we love each of them too much to not be able to tell the difference. On the left we have Josh Holloway, or the lovable but rough around the edges Sawyer from Lost.

On the right, we have Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, otherwise known as redeemed knight Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones. We’d be more than happy if these two were cast together.

There must be something about red heads, because with Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain, and now Amy Adams and Isla Fisher, it’s practically impossible to tell the difference. These two are another case where you could watch one in a movie and not realize until the end that you were actually watching the other.

On the left is Isla Fisher, known for her roles in Confessions of a Shopaholic and Definitely, Maybe. On the right is Amy Adams, known for her roles in Enchanted and Arrival.

As with Amber Heard and Scarlett Johansson, we hadn’t ever noticed the physical resemblance between actresses Natalie Portman and Keira Knightly. But fear not, other people certainly did. In fact, a 14 year old Kiera Knightly played Portman’s double, Sabé, in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

With their small frames, dainty faces and similar hairstyles, these two actresses look undeniably alike. However, Knightly is four inches taller, while Portman is four years older.

Next up is a set of blonde celebrity lookalikes that really look like each other. On the left is American actress Claire Danes, known for her roles in My So-Called Life, Romeo + Juliet, and Homeland. On the right is French actress and model Clémence Poésy, known for her roles in the Harry Potter franchise, 127 Hours, and In Bruges.

Both actresses have the same shade of blonde hair framing the same shaped face. Even their eyes look the same!

Amazingly, not only do celebrity doppelgangers Carrie Underwood and Emily Osment look the same, but they also share the same birthday! What are the chances? Both women were born on Match 10th, though Underwood was born 9 years before Osment.

Just to be clear, on the left side of this picture we have Carrie Underwood, country music sensation. On the right is singer and actress Emily Osment, known for her roles in Hannah Montana, Almost Family, and Young & Hungry.

Just take a look at these two. With their tousled brown hair, heavy brows and bemused expression, celebrities Amanda Peet and Lake Bell look incredibly similar. On the left of this image is Amanda Peet (we think), an American actress known for acting in The Whole Nine Yards and Something’s Gotta Give.

On the right we have Lake Bell, American actress, director and screenwriter. Bell is known for starring in Boston Legal, It’s Complicated, and for voicing Poison Ivy in Harley Quinn.

Lea Michele and Idina Menzel look so similar that Menzel contacted Ryan Murphy to suggest that she play Michele’s mother on Glee. That was too good an offer to turn down, particularly because both actresses are also New Yorkers and belting sopranos.

Both Michele and Menzel started singing at age 15 and both ended up on Broadway. Of course, Menzel originated the role of Elphaba in Wicked, and voiced Queen Elsa in Frozen. It’s a match made in doppelganger heaven!

Actress and model Eva Mendes bears a striking similarity to model and TV host Ashley Graham. As you can see, both women have almond shaped brown eyes, a small nose, and plump lips. Add to that their coloring, frame and hair style, and the women are very difficult to differentiate between.

When we look at this image of actors Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill, we wonder if there’s a factory somewhere churning out dapper movie stars with piercing eyes. Seriously, could we get a tour or something?

These two look incredibly alike, right down to their pale blue eyes. Here, on the left is English actor Henry Cavill, known for playing Superman in a range of DC movies. On the right, we have American actor Matt Bomer, known for his roles in All My Children, and American Horror Story.

Our next pair of celebrity lookalikes each also have another lookalike. Not only are actresses Zoe Saldana and Thandie Newton celebrity doppelgangers, but they each also get confused with actresses Kerry Washington and Jada Pinkett Smith. In fact, Saldana’s own mother confused her with Newton on a movie poster.

For the record, on the left is English actress Thandie Newton, known for roles in Westworld and Beloved, and on the right is American actress Zoe Saldana, known for roles in Avatar and Star Trek.

Actresses Nina Dobrev and Victoria Justice are well aware of their physical resemblance, so much so that they took a picture together to post online. With their sharp jawline, long brunette locks and dazzling smile, these women could definitely pass as each other’s sisters.

As far as we can tell, on the left is Canadian actress Nina Dobrev, known for her role in The Vampire Diaries. On the right, is American actress Victoria Justice, known for her role on Zoey 101.

Celebrity doppelgangers Portia de Rossi and Drea de Matteo share more than just Italian names. With their fierce expressions, chiseled jawlines and strong brows, these two bear more than a passing resemblance to each other.

In this image, American actress Drea de Matteo is on the left, while Australian-American actress Portia de Rossi is on the right. De Matteo is known for her roles in Desperate Housewives and The Sopranos. De Rossi is known for starring in Ally McBeal and Arrested Development.

With Jason Sudeikis and Ed Helms, there’s a shared comedic energy as well as a shared physical appearance. While fans of these two might be able to tell them apart easily, others just see two brown haired men with affable expressions and similar eyebrows.

Jason Sudeikis (left) is an American actor and writer that’s starred in Horrible Bosses and Ted Lasso. Meanwhile, Ed Helms (right) is an American actor and musician known for his roles in The Office and The Hangover trilogy.

Again, with actresses Carey Mulligan and Michelle Williams we have another pair of celebrities whose physical resemblance had completely passed us by. However, it’s absolutely undeniable that these two pixie cut fans look alike. With their dainty faces and soulful expressions, these two could easily pass as family.

Carey Mulligan (left) is an English actress known for roles in Pride & Prejudice and The Great Gatsby. Michelle Williams (right) is an American actress known for her roles in Dawson’s Creek and Brokeback Mountain.

We’ll admit that we once sat through all of 2001’s Planet of the Apes thinking we were watching Matt Damon (right), only to discover years later that we’d been enjoying the work of Mark Wahlberg (left) instead. This is a pretty common mistake, so much so that the actors have an agreement to be as polite as possible to fans who mistake them for one another.

These two have even acted in the same movie – 2006’s The Departed. But why didn’t they play brothers?

We can see why people have a hard time telling the difference between actresses Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner. Each woman has a strong jaw, a wide smile, and a face that can sell plenty of movie tickets. Again, these two have been mistaken for each other, and both face each other’s excited fans.

Of course, Jennifer Garner (left) is known for Alias and 13 Going on 30, whereas Hilary Swank (right) is known for Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby.

We’re back to the red heads with our next set of celebrity lookalikes. Academy Award winner Emma Stone certainly bears a strong resemblance to American actress Melinda Clarke. In fact, these two could play a convincing mother daughter duo.

Emma Stone is known for roles in The Help and La La Land, while Melinda Clarke is known for starring in Days of Our Lives and The O.C. Interestingly, Emma Stone has admitted to being a natural blonde, while some images of Clarke show her with darker locks.

Check these two out! Even when we know we’re looking at Minka Kelly, our brains can’t quite grasp that we aren’t actually seeing Leighton Meester. These two certainly know that they look alike, and actually took this photograph standing next to each other.

On the left is American actress and model Minka Kelly, known for roles in Friday Night Lights and Titans. On the right is American actress Leighton Meester, most well-known for playing Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl.

Actress Elizabeth Banks has admitted that she pretends to be comedian Chelsea Handler when approached by confused fans. And we can absolutely understand why. Though Banks is also often mistaken for actress Reese Witherspoon, she definitely shares the same coloring and face shape as Handler.

In this image, Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks is on the left, while Chelsea Lately host Chelsea Handler is on the right. These celebrity doppelgangers are only one year apart in age so it’s no surprise that people get confused.

We fell in love with actress Leelee Sobieski back when she played Drew Barrymore’s geeky best friend in Never Been Kissed. We didn’t notice then that the American artist and retired actress looked just like a young Helen Hunt. Now, it’s all we can see.

Actors Zach Braff and Dax Shepard look so alike that Shepard’s wife, actress Kristen Bell faceswapped their faces and struggled to tell the difference. The resemblance is uncanny, from the scruffy haircut to the goofy expression – it really is wild that these two are different people.

On the left is Scrubs star and American actor and director Zach Braff, while on the right is Parenthood star and American actor and writer Dax Shepard. Personally, we don’t understand why these two haven’t written a vehicle for themselves yet.

Not only do Ruth Wilson and Michelle Monaghan look alike, but they clearly have the same taste in fashion too. In this picture, the women are both wearing the same floral midi skirt, and they’ve each paired it with a navy sweater. We smell straight off the runway.
